Coat Rack and Shelf

My daughter and I made an IKEA run a few weeks ago which is an adventure since the closest store is about 2 1/2 hours away.

I did not have anything specific that I wanted to buy, but as always, I find something anyway. I picked up two coat racks and some spice shelves and went ahead and started junking it.

I painted them black and though I liked the finish of them, I wanted them to look a little richer. I have them a quick coat of General Finishes “Arm R Seal” in semi gloss and once dry, I sanded them with 320 grit sand paper using my orbital sander and distressed a little bit.

Put the final coat of Arm R Seal on and I love the look of them. Nice and smooth, with a little gloss.
