Refinish

Accent Table Refinish

Picked up this cute little accent table at a garage sale for $5.00. Took it apart for a refinish.

After taking it apart, I sanded everything down to a smooth finish. Put the table back together and started pondering on what color to stain it. Tested a few colors on the back of it and I decided to go with Georgian Cherry from General Finishes. I LOVE their products!!!

Again, I forgot the before picture but remembered it after I got the top done so you can somewhat see the before wood.

I also lined the drawer with some cute decoupage paper using a technique and products from Fusion Mineral Paints. I first painted the drawer with Ultra Grip/Bonding Agent and let dry. Then I measured and cut my paper to fit. The wonderful power of this product is that you can use a standard iron to glue the paper down. Use a piece of parchment paper on top of what you want to adhere and just iron it down.

Once you have all the paper glued down and I then finish it with a coat or two of Fusion Tough Coat to give it that final sealed finish.
